Photoshop: I drew my main character and coloured in different shades of blue. I downloaded watercolour brushes to add texture and shading. I researched colour psychology and used the colour blue which represents sadness, and I added the colour red (representing danger) coming out of the phone. I wanted the red to seep out of the phone and into her body to show it's affecting her emotion (giving the idea that eventually it will cover her whole body). I added text behind her with words that represented her fear, adjusting the size of each word depending on how much of a worry it was for her.
Photoshop: Illustrated book cover for the non fiction book, "The Power of Trees." I was inspired by book designer Helen Crawford-White whose book cover for "The Beginning Woods" by Malcolm McNeil had a hot air balloon. As I wanted to show literally the power of trees, meaning how good they are for our planet and how bad it would be if we didn't have them in our world, I showed the Earth split in two. On the left, the Earth is green and healthy, but on the right, there is only black. The trees have lost their leaves, some are catching fire and the Earth is crumbling into space.

An illustrated poster (Photoshop) for a game about H.M.S.Challenger. The Challenger was famous for discovering The Mariana Trench. I made the ship the focal point of the image, placing it a third down from the top of the poster to show the depth of the ocean. The shading from the sunlight is pulling the viewer's eyes towards the ocean depths where eventually it's all black.
An illustrated book cover (Photoshop). I was influenced by the simple sunglasses and bright yellow cover which conveys a summer feeling on Jenny Oliver's book cover of Forever Summer. On Photoshop I gave it a little style of artist Michael Craig-Martin.

A collage illustration of a seascape with a lone sailboat. I wanted to experiment with different styles and found this laborious but I like the overall effect. I added the text 'Holidays' to make the viewer feel like they're on holiday.

A digital painting of a seascape with sailing boats on the sea. I had seen this swirl pattern in illustrations before and wanted to experiment on one of my own photos. I chose different shades of blue and yellow so to show a sunset. I added white lines in the sea to show the sun's reflection.
