Personal works
(in addition to the summer project)
A Halloween drawing (Ibis Paint) of characters inside a house looking at a computer screen as the light reflects on their faces. I used blend modes to help get the light and dark areas in the illustration.
Below is another Halloween drawing (Ibis Paint) of the same characters sitting outside on a porch. I downloaded a brush online that allowed me to easily paint leaves.

The two characters above are from a story I created about two friends who don't have any fantastical elements, and just look like regular people with regular lives.
On the Left: (Photoshop) I experimented with a different drawing style where I tested out realistic 3D proportions. I also drew the eyes, nose and mouth in a different shape. I experimented with the light source which made her features not as flat as my other characters.

(Ibis Paint) A character celebrating in a field at golden hour. I used watercolour brushes for the background to capture the grasses, bushes and leaves. I did the same with the sky but with pink, white and blue colours.
Below are practice illustrations in Ibis Paint of various characters with different backgrounds. I downloaded a snow brush where I could apply a snow effect.
